HOW I PLAN MY WEEK
I think the way I plan my weeks is pretty standard, but I love using my favorite insert ever, this weekly foldout from our printables shop. I plan my week the Saturday or Sunday prior. I print out a fresh insert, remove last week's insert, and transfer any notes or unfinished tasks to the new week.
After I reference my Google calendar to check for important dates I need to note on my weekly spread, I use my Goals + Tasks insert to guide my weekly planning. This system makes it easy since everything is already mapped out and broken down by day. Here I have my top goals and recurring tasks. I moved some weekly tasks onto task cards, thats why the "task" section on this insert is pretty bare.
I also reference my monthly inserts when planning my week.
I start by setting my main goals for the week.
Then I have a space for miscellaneous tasks that I'll jot down as they come up throughout the week. I like to split them into personal and business. These tasks are ones that I'd like to get done this week, but can be flexible.
MEALS AND OTHER LISTS
I have a spot to preplan and log my meals, as well as lists for things to buy, errands to run and mail I'm expecting.
Sidebar - I like to add a full box here to set the vibe of the week. Then I have: a spot to note a project I'm focusing on; some tasks that need to get done this week, but not on a specific day; and anything coming up next week that needs to be on my radar.
Top Row - I use the top row of the main section to list "today" things like birthdays, holidays, appointments, etc.
Middle Row - I use the middle row to list all my tasks. I put personal tasks on top then business after.
Bottom Row - I use the bottom row for "little things" like mail and tv shows.
And lastly, I use the very back page to track my spending.
Planning my week is my favorite kind of "me time". Not only do I love playing with my planner, but it feels so good to start the week with a plan to get sh*t done :)
